Hermes Baby case handles were originally made from plastic composite which is hard but becomes very brittle with aging. This is a normal process for this type of hard plastic used in the 1960s. This is why it is so common to see typewriters with broken, glued or missing case handles. If you need a new case handle for your typewriter, which will outperform your old one - read on.
NOTES ON RESTORATION
Important: This case handle is designed to provide a good fit and 100% true replica. You can use your old hardware and screws to install the new handle. No special tools or extra equipment needed other than a normal flat screwdriver.
MATERIAL OF THE HANDLE
This handle is designed as a 3D model and has been printed in a highly durable and eco material. It has been printed in mint green and black. Please, ALWAYS choose a color of handle which you want to receive before check out. This handle has a good grip and is a copy of the original as seen in pictures. This handle is also more durable than the original plastic one, because it does not become brittle with age and will last you a lifetime. The material this handle is made of is:
