Hermes Baby - one of the best portable typewriter models for enthusiasts and writers and also one for the most sought after typewriters in the world. It is not without reason. The design of Hermes Baby typewriters is stunning, and it's plastic body makes it extremely lightweight - great for both travel and carrying.
*TYPEFACE: Typeface is uncommon - it types in "techno" or so called "cubic". This is a standard letter font style. Keyboard has Swiss QWERTZ layout (as seen in the photos)
*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in great condition. Festive red plastic body finish. The chrome plated metal parts look great. The machine is finished off with a protective, museum-quality wax in order to protect the paint from oxidation, dirt, scratches and fingerprints.
*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our restoring this typewriter has been thoroughly cleaned and has received new black/red ink. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design. It has new rubber feet, fine tuned to serve a minimum of 50 more years.
*CASE: The plastic case is in good condition. Small crack on the left front side, it has been treated and the case works well to support the typewriter. Cleaned and polished, it works well.
*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend this model if you are planning on regular use and heavy typing. This typewriter has no other match and deserves it's own category - a true performer - built to last more than a lifetime.
