Hermes typewriters were developed in Switzerland by the Paillard company, which started out making music boxes in the early 19th century and later transitioned to typewriters in early 1920s. Hermes Media 3 model is the well known twin brother of Hermes 3000 which is possibly the most famous and cool typewriter. It features:

*TYPEFACE: Uncommon 10cpi Pica (10 characters per inch). QWERTZ Swiss keyboard layout. You can type in more than 4 languages - French, English, German, Italian, etc.
*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in excellent condition. There are almost no scratches on the outside body (only a few scuffs on the front, near the space bar, wehre the case latches). The chrome plated metal parts look very good. Stunning condition including original operating manual and case, and some leaflets.
*MECHANICS: As with all our restored typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. As part of our restoration process this typewriter has received a NEW platen rubber, NEW rubber feet, new inside lining (felt), new rubber key rest, and of course - new black/red ink. It is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design.
*CASE: The case is in great condition. Cleaned and polished, looks like new. It works great - including the automatic lock on the front.
